MLB legend Barry Bonds has shifted focus on fatherhood as he awaits any inkling of “positive” news from Cooperstown regarding his Hall of Fame inclusion.
However, what the 51-year-old current hitting coach for the Miami Marlins has discovered at his daughter’s Brentwood School has him up in arms and disgusted.
A video on the YouTube account “Brentwood Students Against Racism” has been making its rounds on the Internet and it depicts an all-white gaggle of students who presumably attend the institution, which TMZ has learned cost $37,000 a year to attend. Towards the end of clip, the rowdy group of youngsters take the pep rally sentiment to severe heights as they singalong to A$AP Ferg’s “Dump, Dump” from his first studio album, Trap Lord.
The hook goes, “I fucked your bitch, nigga, I fucked your bitch/I fucked your bitch, nigga, I fucked your bitch/She sucked my dick, nigga, she sucked my dick, She sucked my dick, nigga, she sucked my dick!” and Bonds took to his Twitter account to show the world he takes exception to the debacle.
“I am sad that i had to see this at my daughters school,” he tweeted before adding the triple play hashtags of “#Racism,” “#Fixit,” and “#Suspension.”
The NYDailyNews stumbled upon a Change.org petition titled “Take action against the racist behavior of Brentwood students” has attracted nearly 500 signatures already. The city of Brentwood is most notable for being the focal point of the infamous O.J. Simpson trial and as well as its high-profile celebrity community.
Brentwood School officials tell TMZ the video was indeed “offensive and inconsistent with our core values” but they’re not looking at it as hate crime.
“We are investigating this insensitive behavior, will address the situation directly, and will respond seriously,” they replied.
In 2007, for his third album, Graduation, Kanye West recruited Lil Wayne for a nonsingle cut named after the home run slugger, which only drops the n-word one time.
