Juelz Santana has announced a return to rap, and recent news may show why: to pay the bills.

According to a Bossip, the Dipset veteran has lost his New Jersey condo to foreclosure. The report says that Juelz hasn’t made a mortgage payment since November 2013.

A judge issued a final foreclosure judgment on April 22, and the condo will be sold in a sheriff’s sale.

The 2,300-foot condo is in the same development that The Notorious B.I.G. lived in.

The foreclosure may be unsurprising to many Juelz fans. He was a bright spot in the all-star Diplomats roster with Cam’ron and Jim Jones in the early 2000s, and had a promising solo career. Drake gave him a name drop on Views highlight “Hype.”

But his last notable effort was 2005’s What’s the Game’s Been Missing!. Since then, his career has been a series of jumpstarts – a single with Chris Brown, a song produced by Just Blaze, a stalled Dipset reunion – but nothing that sticks. He recently said that he plans to drop “project after project,” so hopefully he can deliver.
