Miami, Florida

If you think DJ Khaled is going to let a court appearance get in the way of his jet-setting lifestyle, then you’re playing yourself. A day ahead of his first gig opening for Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour in Miami, the Snapchat guru was briefly wanted by the law for failing to appear in court for a minor boating violation, the Miami Herald reports.

His absence on April 26 upgraded the charge to “failure to appear on a non-criminal boating violation” and a warrant was put out for him. Shortly after, the judge lifted the warrant because “the defendant had not been served with the new information filed today by the prosecution,” a court spokesperson explained.

Khaled’s court date has been pushed to May 17, which might be easier to make since he has the day off between the tour’s May 16 stop in Santa Clara, CA and the May 18 stop in Seattle, WA.

Khaled didn’t have any trouble making it to the Formation launch on April 27 though, and neither did his friends. He opened the show at Marlins Field in his hometown of Miami, alongside surprise guests Lil Wayne, Future, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti and more.
