Digable Planets has announced a reunion tour, according to Brooklyn Vegan.
Camp Lo is set to be the opening act on the tour, which is scheduled to kick off in earnest July 18 at the Woodward Theater in Cincinnati after the group appears at the Sasquatch, Essence and Pitchfork Festivals.
Butterfly, Ladybug Mecca and Doodlebug released two acclaimed studio albums, 1993’s Reachin’ (A New Refutation Of Time And Space) and 1994’s Blowout Comb, and broke up in 1995.
The group is best known for its jazz-influenced “Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat)” single, which Rick Rock has sampled on songs for Snoop Dogg and E-40.
