As a prominent fan of the Miami Heat, DJ Khaled says he would like to take the next step in his relationship with his favorite NBA franchise.
“I would love to talk to the Heat [and see if they’d] let me be a owner, even if it’s one percent,” DJ Khaled, who wore a Heat jersey on the cover of I Changed A Lot, his 2015 album, says during an interview with TMZ Sports. “Either way, I’m there representing courtside. And if I’m out of town, I’m representing. I bleed Miami. It’s Miami Heat for life. It’s Miami everything.”
As for the high profile departure of former Miami Heat star LeBron James, who left the team after the 2013-14 season to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers, DJ Khaled says that he would welcome James back to the team.
“I’ve got nothing but love for LeBron James,” DJ Khaled says. “If he came back to Miami, smartest decision he ever made in his career. But where he’s at, it’s a blessing for him, too.”

LeBron James played for the Miami Heat for four seasons, joining the club for the 2010-11 season after playing seven season for the Cavaliers. The Heat were the NBA champions for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. The James-led Cavaliers reached the NBA finals after the 2014-15 season, but lost to the Golden State Warriors 4-2.
