As an agent, Jay Z continues to claim his stake in the forthcoming NBA Draft by signing Syracuse Orange player Michael Gbinije to his Roc Nation Sports roster.

Roc Nation announced the news on its Twitter account today (April 12).

#RocNationSports welcomes former Syracuse University Guard#MikeGbinije @mikeswaggyG to the family!” the post says with a picture of Gbinije with the signature paper plane sign, wearing a Roc Nation hat and T-shirt.

Gbinije, who the agency lists as a guard, doubles as a forward. He shared the news of his signing as his first post on the social media site.

“Proud to announce that I’m officially part of the @RocNation fam#rocnationsports,” he writes.

The 23-year-old spent one year at Duke University before transferring to Syracuse. This past season, he was the Orange’s leading scorer with an average of 17.8 points per game and led the team to an unexpected run in the NCAA Tournament. Syracuse made it to the Final Four as a #10 seed.

Roc Nation Signs Henry Ellenson

Roc Nation Sports also welcomed Marquette Golden Eagles player Henry Ellenson yesterday (April 11).

“I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined the @rocnation family!” Ellenson says on Instagram. “Thankful for all of the support I’ve received up to this point and really looking forward to the next steps in this journey.”

The 6′ 10″ big man spent one season with the program. He is entering the NBA Draft after setting the school records for most points and rebounds by a freshman, averaging 17.0 points per game and 9.7 boards.

Jay Z signed Michigan Wolverine Caris LeVert, another NBA Draft prospect, earlier this month.

The 2016 NBA Draft is scheduled to take place June 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
