Lyor Cohen was hospitalized yesterday (April 9) with pulmonary embolism, a blockage of blood in his lungs. According to HipHopWired, the 300 Entertainment CEO shared the news on his Snapchat account.

Cohen thanked his family for getting him medical attention. Pulmonary embolisms can be fatal. Heavy D died after suffering one in 2011.

“If it wasn’t for my son, and my best friend Norm, I would have been a goner,” Cohen says on the social media platform from a gurney.
