Last Friday, R. Kelly appeared in court in an attempt to have his child pornography charges dismissed. Kelly’s attorneys entered a motion on his behalf claiming that 14 of the child pornography charges were “inconsistent” due to specific wording that could confuse the jury. The prosecution’s indictment charges that Kelly knew the female he allegedly had sex with on videotape was under 18. Judge Vincent Gaughan is expected to rule on these motions in a hearing scheduled for February 10. Kells must also tend to his legal woes with the Jay Z from the failed Best of Both Worlds tour.
