To kick off the Radio Music Award festivities, the Palms hotel and casino hosted Verizon LG’s All Star Poker Showdown. At the suite (site of Las Vegas’ Real World season) a who’s who list of poker players and celebrities showed up to match poker faces. With people like Jenny McCarthy, Chris Moneymaker and Johnny Chan sizing up competition such as WWE’s Eric Bischoff, Coolio, Jose Canseco and Mekhi Phifer, everyone was in store for an interesting evening of poker.
A star studded guest list included Def Jam Recording artist Ne-Yo, Boys II Men’s Shawn Stockman and Nathan Morris, Sisqo, Ralph Tresvant, M-1 of dead prez, Wesley Jonathan (City Guys and Roll Bounce), Marcus T Paulk (Moesha and Roll Bounce) and others crowding the poker tables. DJ AM kept the energy going while everyone eyeballed the final table which featured Mekhi Phifer, Nathan Morris, Jenny McCarthy, Jose Canseco and others.
Guest poker players all received the new Verizon LG phone as others got an intimate look at the phone’s incredible functions.
So with an evening filled with poker, booze and music to kick off the Radio Music Awards? Who can complain?
