Turk speaks on how he’s able to relate to fellow rapper, Boosie Badazz’s battle with cancer.
While speaking with Mikey T The Movie Star, New Orleans, Louisiana rapper Turk revealed that he’s able to relate to Boosie and his battle with cancer because his wife was previously diagnosed with breast cancer.
Turk recalled taking care of his wife when she went through chemotherapy and a mastectomy. He explained that he’s also able to relate to Boosie because they both fought their way through “life-threatening situations.”

“I could relate to what he went through,” Turk said. “My wife, she had breast cancer. She went through the chemotherapy and the radiation. And getting her breasts cut off. Reconstructive surgery. And I was there right with her. I had to go through it with her. I’m changing the tubes and all that. So, I just encouraged him. But Boosie’s spirit is real high. And we just talked about life, man. And he just was saying how he had to go through what he went through. He real humble, man. Boosie a real humble dude.”
Turk also spoke on the moment the two first linked up, and revealed that they have several songs recorded together.
“We can relate to each other, man,” he said. “We both went to prison. We both went through a whole lot of life-threatening situations. And if anybody in the industry that I can relate to as far as in my age bracket, it’s Boosie. When we met we exchanged numbers. And we been in contact ever since. We done did three songs together. On some real shit. He sent me something, I got on it. I sent him something, he got on it…I was in Nashville. And he had called me…He was doing his rehab, I believe, in Texas. And man, Boosie been putting in work. I’m talking about he dropping an album every month, this year.”
