Fans eager to get a glimpse of Rihanna perform her new album material on music’s biggest night will have to wait for the ANTI Tour.
The superstar singer cancelled her GRAMMYs 2016 performance per doctors orders due to a severe bout with bronchitis.
“Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords,” her rep said in a statement obtained by the Los Angeles Times. “The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately therefore she cannot perform safely.”
Rihanna was reportedly supposed to be perform “Kiss It Better,” the next single from her recently released album, which, went platinum fifteen hours after its release.
