Shortly after the release of his latest album The Life Of Pablo, Kanye West took to Twitter to offer his thoughts on what accolades his seventh solo LP should be awarded with.
“I’m practicing my Grammy Speech,” Kanye wrote on the social networking service. “I’m not going to the Grammys unless they promise me the Album of the Year!!!”
Despite having won a total of 21 Grammy Awards from 54 nominations, Kanye West was keen to point out that two of his projects, 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and his 2011 collaboration LP with Jay Z Watch The Throne, were not nominated for Album Of The Year by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
“I made Dark Fantasy and Watch the Throne in one year and wasn’t nominated for either …,” Kanye tweeted before continuing in another post. “I made Dark Fantasy and Watch the Throne in one year and wasn’t nominated for either … I will have over 100 Grammys before I die.”
In a subsequent post, Kanye declared himself the Michael Jordan and Steph Curry of music.
“I am the Jordan and Steph Curry of music, meaning I’m the best of 2 generations.”
