Gucci Mane was slated to host Mike WiLL Made-It’s Ransom2, which supposed to drop January 29, but did not.
Mike WiLL Made-It took to Twitter yesterday (February 7) to explain Ransom 2‘s delay has to do with Gucci Mane‘s involvement and his work on Beyonce’s “Formation.” Gucci Mane was not allowed to host the Ransom 2 in mixtape format because of his imprisonment. Therefore, the producer annoucned that Ransom2 is now an album.

“Really had to delay #RANSOM2 to make sure everything was A1 on my end on Formation, but couldn’t spill the beans of course,” Mike WiLL Made-It says in a series of tweets. “To see it all rollout & be so A1, salute Bey, HOV, Big Jon, & her whole team. Now I can get #RANSOM2 done how I want to. Unfortunately the feds said no to Gucci hosting a project from jail. But when in Rome, live in Rome. New deals on the line & prior agreements etc… Saying all this to say. #RANSOM2 is now officially an album. Coming very very very soon.”
Ransom 2 is the sequel to Mike WiLL Made-It’s 2014 mixtape that featured Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Migos and Future.
