Rihanna was announced as the most recent confirmed performer for the 2016 BRIT Awards, the awards announced yesterday (February 3) on Twitter. The show is scheduled to take place February 24 at London’s O2 Arena and air on ITV.
“*SURPRISE*” the BRIT Awards account says, “@rihanna is performing at #BRITs 2016!!! WE. CANNOT. DEAL. RN. #RihannaBRITs ”
Rihanna released her eighth studio album, ANTI, last week. The lead single for the project is “Work” with Drake.
According to the BRIT Awards website, this is Rihanna’s fourth time performing at the awards and her first time since 2012 when she sang “We Found Love.” The singer has been nominated by the awards six times and won twice for International Female Solo Artist.
