Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith previewed new ScHoolboy Q music on Instagram today (January 26).
The clip from shows a video of ScHoolboy Q firing shots from a gun and a police officer hanging from the ceiling by a rope. The video calls ScHoolboy Q “Groovy Tony,” likely a play off his “Groovy Q” nickname and Tony Montana, the main character in Scarface.
“Locked and Loaded…” Top Dawg writes for the caption of the video. “Another bullet in the chamber…When these bullets start flying…..#TDE #schoolboyq”
The Top Dawg Entertainment rapper’s last project was his 2014 LP, Oxymoron.
TDE president Dave Free gave a projection of what to expect from the label this year and listed an album from ScHoolboy Q as one of those scheduled for a 2016 release.
