The Wu-Tang Clan rapper calls Martin Shkreli, who purchased the single copy of the album, a “shithead.”
“I don’t even know him, but when I heard what he did with the AIDS like that, that’s not right,” Ghostface Killah says, referring to Shkreli’s Turing Pharmaceuticals raising the price of one pill of its parasitic drug Daraprim from $13.50 to $750 in September 2015. “That’s not right.”
In December, Shkreli was arrested on fraud charges. He was released on $5 million bond.
Given his opinion of Shkreli, Ghostface Killah was asked if he was acceptable for Shkreli to keep Once Upon A Time In Shaolin.
“That’s out of my hands, man,” he said. “It’s whatever. I don’t know about it.”
Ghostface Killah certainly did not like the exclusivity clause when purchasing the album, which reportedly stated that the owner would have to keep it unreleased for 88 years.
“What you gone hold it for 88 years for?” Ghostface says.
