Reach Records announced the signing of GAWVI to its roster Wednesday (January 13) via a “Signing Day 2016” video.

Lecrae and Ben Washer welcome GAWVI as the latest addition to the Reach Records roster that already houses Trip Lee, Tedashii, Andy Mineo and KB.

“I’m excited to share this new music with the world,” he says in the description for the video. “My first solo album is going to be like nothing we’ve ever released under the Reach imprint. We’re about to really surprise people.”

Fans can expect his debut album on the independent label this year.

GAWVI produced “I Wouldn’t Know” on Lecrae’s Church Clothes 3, which was released yesterday (January 15). He also crafted all the beats for Trip Lee’s Rise album and has served as an in-house producer for Reach since 2013.

“This feels good!” he says on Twitter. “‘I’m the newest member of the Reach Records team’ in my Kanye voice.”

Reach Records shared an image of GAWVI with his contract via Twitter.

“Clap for ’em,” the label says. “Happy signing day, @GAWVI!”

Lecrae, Trip Lee and KB also welcomed the newest signee on social media.
