Apple Music has reached 10 million subscribers in its six months of existence, according to Fortune.
This same milestone took six years for Spotify to reach. As of June, Spotify was the leading streaming service with 20 million subscribers.
Apple Music launched in June with the features of Beats 1 radio and Apple Connect. Dr. Dre and Pharrell are among those who host radio shows on the platform.

Drake has been an advocate of the streaming service and announced in June that he will be releasing Views From the 6 exclusively via Apple Connect. He has already released the videos for “Hotline Bling” and “Energy” through the service.
