If you’ve ever fancied clamping your lips around Snoop Dogg, here’s your chance. The 33-year-old bad-boy rapper has lent his name to a new hot dog – the Foot Long Snoop Dogg. And just to ram the corporate branding down your throat, the snack comes wrapped in an image of the rapper’s face. “If ‘Snoop Doggs’ take off, expect a line of J.Lo’s huge buns to surface in the near future,” an unnamed source says. We can’t wait for the Johnny Vegas Eccles cake.
We always knew Mariah Carey was a bit of a doll. Now the 34-year-old beauty, whose new single Don’t Forget About Us is out right now, is having a limited number of special Mariah dolls made. We’re told these miniatures even feature a diamante replica of her signature bling butterfly ring. “There’ll only be 3,000 of them and while they’re supposed to be for kids, they’re likely to become instant collectors’ items,” an insider says.
Last but not least this, a former 2 Live Crew is accusing fellow rapper Ice-T of freezing him out of the profits from a song whose lyrics are so dirty he apologized for including them in his lawsuit. Brother Marquis, aka Mark Ross, says he co-wrote 99 Problems” with Ice-T, but so far he’s been paid just $10,000, according to a lawsuit he filed on his own behalf in Manhattan Federal Court. He says Ice-T owes him much more and that Jay-Z also owes him for releasing a song with identical lyrics. “99 Problems” includes obscene sexual references, including the line: “I got 99 problems and a bitch ain’t one of them.” But halfway through his lawsuit, Ross apologized for including the lyrics. “Counsel for the plaintiff apologizes to the court for the graphic and profane nature of this song included in the body of this complaint,” wrote Marquis, who said he met Ice-T in 1993.
