This week on the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart, The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness cut “In The Night” jumps to #2 as a result of a 127% increase in sales. Elsewhere, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ “Downtown” falls out of the Top 10 and lastly, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” reaches another milestone.
Drake Stays Rooted To #1
For an eighth consecutive week, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” lands at the top of the chart despite having experienced a further 9% decrease in sales since last week’s report. The single sold 52,261 copies during the seven days leading to December 10, taking its total sales since its official release to 1,610,249 units.
The Weeknd Jumps To #2
With an impressive 127% increase in sales, The Weeknd’s “In The Night” jumps from #11 to #2 on this week’s report. The cut, which features on the Canadian singer’s latest album, Beauty Behind The Madness, sold 40,502 units during the seven days leading to December 10.

Alessia Cara Falls To #3
Despite selling a relatively similar amount to that of last week, The Weeknd’s surge in sales meant that Alessia Cara’s “Here” falls to #3 this week. The single sold 39,017 units during the seven days leading to December 10.
