After years of rumored break-ups and a couple solo projects, Cannibal Ox is officially back in the fold and ready to release their sophomore set on Definitive Jux.

“I’m happy to announce that Cannibal Ox is back on Jux. I’m incredibly excited to follow up our last collaboration, and will be producing the new record. When Vordul, Vast and I combine we bring out the best in each other musically… I think this is going to be something hip hop fans have been waiting for,” El-P said of resigning the Harlem duo.

Even more exciting is the production team lined up for the album.

“Cannibal Ox are in the lab working on a new album. So far the album is going to be produced by El-P with guest production by Pete Rock and the RZA. We love the new music we are creating and look forward to releasing a great album next year in mid-November,” Vast Aire stated.

“Cannnibal Ox will be dropping a mixtape called “The Return of the Ox” which will feature live performances of classic songs from “The Cold Vein” LP and bonus material. Keep your ears to the street for more,” he added.
