The 15-track project, which was released through Def Jam Recordings, acts as a follow-up to Alsina’s debut album Testimony, which landed at #2 on the chart upon its release last April, selling 67,171 during its first week of availability.
Alsina’s latest album adds to strong year-end release schedule for Def Jam. The label has recently put out projects by Justin Bieber, Jeezy, Jadakiss and Logic, the latter having sold 135,096 total album equivalent units during its first week on sale.
Elsewhere, R. Kelly’s thirteenth studio album The Buffet is projected to sell between 28,000 and 33,000 units during its first week at retail. The 18-track project, which features Lil Wayne, Jeremih and Juicy J among others, was released through RCA Records on December 11.
