Beanie Sigel survived a shooting outside of his home just over a year ago and since, there’s been talk of a new State Property reunion, the history of his relationship with members of the group have been a hot topic. The Broad Street Bully recently sat down with B. Dot and Elliott Wilson of Rap Radar and reminisced about battling in order to get recognition in front of some of the best in New York, talk of how Beanie Sigel remembers his initial time rapping for Jay Z.

“Dame [Dash], once he heard me, I guess he came in and told Jay and Biggs to come out and he came out the studio where Jay was at with Bigs,” he recalled, “He was like, ‘Yo this nigga right here, I just want you to hear him,’ but I was like reluctant because this wasn’t my meeting. This was for them.”

Also during the interview Beanie Sigel recalled the first time he met Freeway, which was at a club where a rap battle took place that had a grand prize of $5,000. He also recalled the shooting near his home and his creative process.
