Although the likes of J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake were nominated for Grammy Awards, one artist in particular was left off of the nominees list. Lupe Fiasco, who released his Tetsuo & Youth album in January of this year, didn’t receive any Grammy nominations for the album.

The rapper responded to the news with a handful of messages on Twitter, yesterday (December 7).

“The only award I ever really cared about was the Grammy…everything I put was nominated. Until today. End Of An Era. Lemme hold that—-> L,” Lupe said in one tweet, shortly after the list of nominees was released.

Lupe also posted a handful of pictures with Sesame Street characters pictured next to the letter “L.”

The album received a 4.5 out of 5 rating on HipHopDX, and was described as being “a beautiful block of metaphor.”
