Boosie Badazz shared on Instagram today (December 8) that surgery on his kidney was successful.

Days after revealing, via social media, that he has kidney cancer, Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz will undergo surgery today (December 8) to treat the cancer.
The Southern wordsmith provided an update to fans on Instagram, earlier this week. He uploaded a picture of himself with his daughter, and left the following caption:
“To all my family , fans n supporters I really appreciate the love n concern that’s been giving to me since I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Tommorrow I go n for surgery n I need prayers for a great surgery n rehabilitation at the MdAnderson cancer center GodGotme.”

After receiving word of Boosie’s diagnosis, a number or artists in the Hip Hop community have offered their thoughts and prayers.
Among those to offer their thoughts to Boosie and his family were TIP, French Montana, DJ Mustard, and Nas.
“All our prayers go out to Da King of Trill @officialboosieig U got dis shit beat lil bro…. From me & mines to U & yours!!!,” TIP wrote in the caption to a picture featuring himself and Boosie.
