Talib Kweli is to release his new album, ‘Right About Now’ on KOCH Records/Blacksmith Music November 22 2005.

The new LP will feature 12 brand new tracks, including the Kareem Riggs-produced first single ‘Who Got It’, and ‘Fly That Knot’. Both songs are currently receiving heavy airplay on the radio.

The album also featuresJean Grae, Mos Def and Papoose, among others.

“‘Right About Now’ sums up this project,” stated Kweli in a press release. “Usually when my music comes out, the people hear where I was a year ago. This project represents where I am right now.”

Kweli is currently co-headlining The Breed Love Odyssey Tour (sponsored by PlayStation and House of Blues) with Brooklyn rapper Mos Def. The tour also features Jean Grae, Pharoahe Monch and Medina Green.

Speaking of album releases, Ja Rule is putting the finishing touches on his compilation album, ‘Exodus’. The LP will be released December 13 through The Inc./Def Jam and will feature three as-yet-untitled new songs.

‘Exodus’ will feature early Ja Rule hits such as ‘Holla, Holla’, ‘Living It Up’, ‘It’s Murda’ and ‘Clap Back’. The album will also include two of his most recent singles: ‘Wonderful’ featuring R. Kelly and Ashanti, and the street anthem ‘New York, New York’.

The rapper’s last studio album, ‘R.U.L.E.’, debuted at number seven on The Billboard 200.

The emcee born Jeffrey Atkins has since pursued an acting career, landing parts in major movie releases including ‘Assault on Precinct 13’, which was released earlier this year.
