Tha Alkaholiks has released its limited-edition transparent “Beer”-colored “Rubber Bands” single

On the song, E-Swift and J-Ro (the third Alkaholiks member, Tash, does not appear on the cut) deliver a selection they say harkens back to the time they were forming their early Rap memories.

“‘Rubber Bands’ takes you back to the basics and the essence of why we fell in love with Hip-Hop, not to mention that undeniable bounce,” E-Swift, who produced the track, says during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “The club might want to stock the bar with neck braces. E&J Sound System has arrived.”

“Rubber Bands is that kind of song that you don’t hear anymore,” J-Ro adds. “Beats, rhymes and cuts. Get ready for more.”

The “E&J” portion of E&J Sound System stands for E-Swift and J-Ro, given that Tash does not appear on “Rubber Bands.” The duo shot a video for the song in Australia that will be released soon.

Tha Alkaholiks released its debut album, 21 & Over, in 1993, less than a year after appearing several tracks on mentor King T’s Tha Triflin’ Album
