As Rap continues evolving, milestones are often cited as the culture looks back.
To this end, Green Label revisited some of the biggest groups from 15 years ago in its “We Revisited A ‘Rap Pages’ Magazine From 2000, When The Black Eyed Peas Says The Don’t Care About Radio Play” story.
In the story, Black Eyed Peas member Taboo says that the group has goals that have nothing to with creating trendy music.
“Our thing isn’t radio play,” he said at the time. “We’re for being able to tour and create a life, not a gone with the wind ‘here listen to this song and forget about it next month.’”
