Kosha Dillz released his “Give Back To The Future” track today on HipHopDX and stopped by DX Headquarters to talk about it.

Sitting down with HipHopDX Senior Features Writer Ural Garrett, the New Jersey emcee detailed why he made the track and where the inspiration came from.

“I grew up trying to live my life daydreaming so this song embodied [that],” he said via a segment of today’s (October 21) DX Daily. “I hit up the producer like, ‘Yo, we need to sample Huey Lewis & The News’ and I just got really educated really quick on all things Back to the Future. It’s about what happened in the movie and also about giving back.”

Kosha Dillz also talked about what he’s got going on recently and what’s upcoming for him.

“I just got done doing CMJ, I’ve got a cool festival coming up in Israel,” he explained. “It’s basically the CMJ/SxSW of Israel. I’m playing something called Hip Hop in the Holy Land, which are Israeli/Palestinian artists playing in Tel Aviv… I always stay busy and Hip Hop’s my livelihood so to live you have to keep doing Hip Hop.”
