Master P signed Snoop Dogg to No Limit Records back in 1998 after he left Death Row and P recently claimed that signing bolstered Snoop’s career legacy.
Recently speaking with HipHopDX Senior News Writer Victoria Hernandez, the Long Beach, California native affirmed the sentiments that Master P had a big hand in helping his career.
“[I credit] him for saving my life, giving me a second chance, teaching me the business, enabling me to be Snoop Dogg and have fun and live and not have beef and have controversy in my life and allowing me to find my way to happiness,” he said via a segment of today’s (October 20) DX Daily. “That’s what Master P did for me.”
Snoop Dogg also spoke about N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton and his depiction in the film.
“[It’s] one of the greatest movies ever made,” he said. “[N.W.A.] is a group that deserves to have its story told to the whole world. I grew up a fan of them and being able to watch that movie was an awesome depiction of who they were and what they were.”

It took only a real fella like P to touch snoop back then. Suge had almost everybody else spooked.
Sorry, I prefer Snoop’s first try than second chance. I always kind of hoped Snoop left Death Row and went into Aftermath. Snoop was ill but he signed to No Limit hence being tied down to mostly No Limit producers with same sounding beats.
Those glasses he’s got on in his pic are kind of dope but Snoop is about as corny as a human gets now days. Everything that comes out his mouth makes me feel embarrassed for him. He’s a 14 year old boy in an adults body, dumb as a box of rocks. That’s what happens when you smoke weed since the age of 10 and you become an adult still smoking, some things never mature and you start to look and sound like an idiot once your approach 50 like him. Grown man wearing duerags and acting like smoking weed is really that cool after 35 years of smoking . . . definition of an idiot.
