Nicki Minaj says that the conflicts between labelmate Drake and boyfriend Meek Mill; and mentor Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records’ Birdman do not concern her.

‘They’re men, grown-ass men,’’ Nicki Minaj says during an interview with The New York Times. ‘‘It’s between them.’’

The Queens, New York rapper also says that she is not pleased with the problems.

“I hate it,’’ she says. ‘‘It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love. It’s ridiculous. I just want it to be over.’’

Elsewhere in the interview, Nicki Minaj says that the perception of beauty has evolved in the Rap world.

‘‘Back in the day, in Hip Hop, the thick girl was glorified,” she says. “Now the rappers are dating skinny White women. So it’s almost like, ‘Wait a minute, who’s going to tell the thick Black girls that they’re sexy and fly, too?’’’
