Puff Daddy, Meek Mill & Vince Staples React To Slim Jesus’ Success

Slim Jesus has received mixed reactions from the Hip Hop community since the release of his controversial hit single “Drill Time.”

Following the release of the aforementioned song in mid-August, various personalities have taken to social media to commend and criticize the Hamilton, Ohio rapper, who recently admitted that his musical content varies dramatically to his everyday reality.

Earlier this month, Puff Daddy reportedly tweeted that he had $1 million waiting for Slim Jesus if the rapper decided to sign with Bad Boy Records, although the tweet was quickly deleted.

Also taking to Twitter, Vince Staples admitted that he was a fan of Slim Jesus but questioned what the rapper’s decisions would be if he were to get confronted by the police:

“I fuck with Slim Jesus cause he said he was lying and he drink Sprite but trust if the police run up in his house he telling on everybody,” the Long Beach, California emcee tweeted.

Chicago rapper Lil Bibby defended Slim Jesus following the release of rapper Ben Sommers’ Slim Jesus diss track, “Shots At Slim.” Bibby tweeted the following message earlier this month:

“Why they dissing my youngin,” he said, having previously referred to Slim Jesus as “#MyLilOne” on Twitter.

Slim Jesus was also scheduled to perform as the special guest at Chief Keef’s Bang 3 release party on Friday night (September 18), but police later shut down the concert, with one officer saying that the organizers didn’t have the correct permit, according to Billboard.

    1. Slim Jesus is a mockery of what hip hop is he can’t rap he talks on a beat and often is off beat smh if you like slim Jesus you have no taste. Only reason people want on his team is the money aspect. White people will buy hip hop more so from a white boy then a black man because white america is fearful of black people

      1. You are completely wrong!!! White people love black artists!!! I will say that white people sometimes can relate more to white artists. We don’t have the same struggles as black people. It’s not because of fear at all. That being said Slim Jesus is whack as fuck! I hope diddy does sign him because none of his artists succeed outside of Biggy.

    2. @bigboigrip,
Yes he is a mockery but not because he is white but because he is awful but so is drake who uses ghost writers and says he is the best and so is future because he mumbles all of his shot. I swear hip hop is backwards nowadays. So many wack artist but they get a pass cause the have swag and they are black..smh…I remember when macklamores thrift shop came out people were dissing him because it was a pop record but drake makes them all the time but gets a pass. Thrift shop had a good message about not spending 300 for jeans like these black rappers or spending your whole check on some sneakers. It was about you wearing the cloths not the other way around but because he is white it was “trash”..lol

      1. Don’t forget about Riff Raff lol..when whiggers do it this type of rap shit they over do it. And macklamore is dope nobody clowned him.

    3. does anyone see the correlation between a white guy calling himself Jesus with a bunch of black people following him?

    4. Just so you guys know, Jesus has clips for every gun man has ever produced and some how he manages to fit all of the models on one song… WTF, every verse is saying the same thing.
Disclaimer: I’m white and this shit is embarrassing.

    5. Does anyone else want to knock this wanna be gangster the fuck out … He will be tested and get caught slipping especially he come to the chi. I don’t even rap and could spit better bars. What a joke him being a rapper who bust guns this is like a movie parody right hahaha.. Hope my boy Chris webby puts him to sleep givin the white boy rappers who spit a bad bad name….

    6. LMAO this song is funny!!! Super wack song but this dude got flow and nasty lyrics. Hoepfully he will turn into something good, fingers crossed.

    7. Nothing new here. New rapper goes viral, everyone hops on his nuts, rapper fades away, nobody cares anymore, repeat.

    8. This is the kinda crap that mainstream media promotes to our children when they idolize whack rappers like gucciman and other trap gangster rap artists… Drugs violence or its skinny jeans and homosexuality…. Slim Jesus is just a product of mainstream rap culture.. People need to wake up and start supporting real hiphop… We need to educate this younger generation. Where hiphop came
      From !

    9. Again with this shit! Mushroom you’re right this is just some more mainstream wack shit being pushed. All the criticism is not because he’s white, it’s because he’s trash and he’s fake. There are lots of dope MCs that are white:
Esoteric, Apathy, Eminem, hell Lil Dickey.
Get it straight, he is being called out because he’s trash and that’s the way it should be. Support real Hip Hop on
      DEF STAR RADIO

    10. This guy is wack, nothing to do with i’m being white. Plenty of good white MC’s. In that video, all he did was stare at the camera like a fucking deer. He pointed a gun or two, but lets be honest: pointing a gun in a music video don’t mean shit. Actors do that everyday.

    11. Slims new song Buck Buck is is pretty impressive follow up to Drill Time…this kid has staying power we will see a lot more of him

    12. I hate EVERYTHING about this era man….soft ass rappers, TRASH rappers being recruited by Puff, like are you fuckin kidding me?

    13. Puff Daddy fell of dramatically for featuring Nas Hate Me Now I Need A Girl with Usher and know fuck with wiggaz with no talent who will eventually get their mouth bust for real Puff Daddy is wack as fuck no wonder 50 Cent punks him and take jabs at him he is showing respect and boosting confidence and paving way for this wack wiggaz who can’t even rhyme I grant you that my bars and flows will numb crush paralyze and bust their who lime and bones of their body this wack mother fuckers guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

    14. Get off his nutts jesus christ u kno how many rappers out here fucking lie about 99% of what they got n what they do, if this kid was black we wouldnt even have a feed to be talking on 900 mutherfuckers coming out w diss track to him using his beat trying to gain some fame fuck outta here the songs dope buncha jealous ass girls cry me a river

      1. And you must be an incompetent fuck. An ignoramus. Neophyte. I am not particularly a fan of gangsta rap but neither do I believe you have to be about that life to rap about it. Music is about expression. I am not a hardcore fan of Slim Jesus but leave the kid alone. He is only 18years old. So he likes to make the kind of music that he prefers listening to. Who cares.
