Slim Jesus has received mixed reactions from the Hip Hop community since the release of his controversial hit single “Drill Time.”
Following the release of the aforementioned song in mid-August, various personalities have taken to social media to commend and criticize the Hamilton, Ohio rapper, who recently admitted that his musical content varies dramatically to his everyday reality.
Earlier this month, Puff Daddy reportedly tweeted that he had $1 million waiting for Slim Jesus if the rapper decided to sign with Bad Boy Records, although the tweet was quickly deleted.
Also taking to Twitter, Vince Staples admitted that he was a fan of Slim Jesus but questioned what the rapper’s decisions would be if he were to get confronted by the police:

“I fuck with Slim Jesus cause he said he was lying and he drink Sprite but trust if the police run up in his house he telling on everybody,” the Long Beach, California emcee tweeted.
Chicago rapper Lil Bibby defended Slim Jesus following the release of rapper Ben Sommers’ Slim Jesus diss track, “Shots At Slim.” Bibby tweeted the following message earlier this month:
“Why they dissing my youngin,” he said, having previously referred to Slim Jesus as “#MyLilOne” on Twitter.
Slim Jesus was also scheduled to perform as the special guest at Chief Keef’s Bang 3 release party on Friday night (September 18), but police later shut down the concert, with one officer saying that the organizers didn’t have the correct permit, according to Billboard.
