During an appearance on The Breakfast Club this week, former Danity Kane members Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex, who now make up the group dumblonde, spoke on the money they never saw as members of Danity Kane.

According to Aubrey O’Day, they “never made” any money while in the “Making The Band”-created group. The singer later revealed that after they grossed millions as openers for Christina Aguilera’s “Back To Basics” tour, they were left $15,000 in deft at the end of the tour.

“Honestly, it wasn’t even money,” O’Day said. “Cause we never made any…We have two platinum albums. Let alone, grossed over a million dollars on Christina Aguilera’s ‘Back To Basics’ tour. Opening for her. And we came off that tour $15,000 in debt. And grossed millions.”

Shannon Bex later chimed in on the conversation about the group’s finances, suggesting that Puff Daddy was the reason why they never made any money.

“We were signed to Diddy,” Bex said. “That’s all I’m gonna say…And that’s one of the reasons why we are [independent]. Because you have to get your business straight because no one else is gonna care.”

Following the release of The Breakfast Club interview, a source reached out to TMZ to shed some light on the group’s finances.
