The judge hearing the case between Chris Brown and Nia Guzman today (September 11) rejected Guzman’s request to have the case relocated from Texas to Los Angeles, TMZ says.

Guzman filed the case in Houston, but sought to move the case to California, which Brown’s team opposed.

TMZ says that California courts tend to award more child support money than those in Texas.

Brown also says that he is indeed in court, despite TMZ’s reports to the contrary.

The singer’s Instagram post is as follows:

Sorry TMZ, I think u got your info wrong. I've been in the court for the last 2 hours. #ILOVEROYALTY

Crooner Chris Brown and Nia Guzman, the mother of his daughter, Royalty are heading to court yet again.

This time, TMZ reports that the pair will appear in court today (September 11) to work on a formal custody agreement and Brown’s child support payments for their daughter. In addition to the custody agreement, Brown is also allegedly seeking a gag order that will block Guzman from speaking ill of him in public.

“Chris and Nia are heading into court Friday morning to start hammering out a formal custody agreement for Royalty, but sources connected to the case tell us job 1 will be a gag order,” TMZ reports. “Brown filed docs for an injunction blocking Guzman from bashing him to news media AND on social media.”

In regards to their appearance in court today, Guzman is seeking $15,000 a month in child support from Brown, while he hopes to instead provide $2,500 a month. Additionally, Brown is requesting that their time with Royalty be split 50/50.
