A group in Maryland has launched the “Ready for Kanye” PAC, Bloomberg reports.
Kanye West announced at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards that he is running for president in the 2020 election.
The political action committee document says “Ready for Kanye” was formed by Eugene Craig III, who will serve as custodian of records and treasurer. According to Craig’s Twitter page, he is a grassroots activist and a Liberty-Republican. He is the third vice chair for the Maryland Republican party.

The purpose of a PAC is to raise money for a candidate’s political campaign. Each committee must register with the Federal Election Commission and report its funds.
