In an interview published today (July 28), Casey Veggies sat down with Baker from whoisbaker.net to discuss the Beatles-inspired cover art for his upcoming debut album, Live & Growscheduled for release September 25.

“It was an idea we came up with one day just in the studio chilling and we came up with that idea,” The “Backflip” rapper says. “I was looking at the evolution chart and then I was looking at The Beatles cover and it just looked classic.”

The Roc Nation-managed artist then explains how the album is reminiscent of the film, The Wood and how the idea stemmed from him growing up in Inglewood, California as a kid.

“It’s just me going back to, I feel like, where, what made me who I am,” he says.

Elsewhere in the interview, Casey says he made at least 150 tracks for the album and picked 14 along with two hidden tracks for the final product.

He also names Dej Loaf, Tyler, The Creator, BJ The Chicago Kid, Torey Lanez among others as collaborators on Live & GrowDJ Mustard, THC and Hit-Boy are also said to be lending their production skills on the project.
