Styles P Discusses Daughter Tai Styles’ Suicide

Styles P opened up on Instagram yesterday (July 27) in regards to his daughter, Tai Styles, committing suicide last month.

The LOX member wrote a caption expressing how love should supersede the want of wealth.

“I rarely speak on my personal issues and i usually express my pain the through music but today I will share a little with you last month my wife and I lost a daughter and my son lost a sister,” he says on his Instagram post. “My baby girl took her life and there are no words to describe the day to day pain we have to endure and maintain through but in dealing with pain you find yourself dealing with the creator and asking questions and going through emotions most would not understand.”

Styles P says that although he has been chasing and obtaining wealth since he was 12 years-old, he’s lost his brother, father, aunt, grandmother-in-law, friends and, more recently, his daughter.

The New York rapper gives his fans some advice when it comes to chasing their dreams.

But I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t take this time out to say from the most humbled part of my heart and soul to say to yall that the dream most of us chase is not!! I repeat is not!! more valuable than the love you get from your family and friends,” Styles says. “It may seem like it is but it ain’t…”

    1. Respect to styles p an the lox. Appreciate h him speaking his truth about money fame an family. I am= what I have an what I consume. R.I.P. to all those who will not survive this week

      1. Suicide has no type. But it should be limited only to males and ugly girls. If she can get the D, that is more than enough reason to stay alive. #realtalk

      2. Not only is that not funny, but it’s absolutely pathetic. When you go through something real in our life, which you obviously have not yet, it will make you understand why you should not joke about certain things. If anything, just don’t speak on it. But you shouldn’t whistle past the graveyard like that, because no matter who you are, you’re going to go through something one day that is going to shatter you, and when that happens, you’re going to want people to console you, not crack jokes about your disease, or your mother dying, or your kid dying, or whatever will inevitably befall you. Be a Man.
