Young Greatness has been in some of Atlanta’s top circles recently and is starting to get out his own music to a larger audience.

On the heels of releasing his I Tried To Tell Em mixtape, the New Orleans native recently spoke with HipHopDX Senior Features Writer Ural Garrett about the project and what it means to exceed local fame.

“It’s really a blessing to be this far coming from [New Orleans] because it’s hard to make it from here,” Young Greatness said via a segment of today’s (July 23) DX Daily. “A lot of artists don’t understand that. They content with being locally known. Me, I was just one of the ones, I didn’t care about being locally known. All I ever really worried about was trying to get to the next level where everybody could know me. I wasn’t really worried about the other things.”
