It’s been a while since Jay Rock dropped a full body of work. Fans of both TDE and Hip Hop in general have been waiting for the group’s senior member’s next effort and now, it seems like we’re closer than ever to that release.

Recently, via a Twitter video posted by Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, the Watts native played some of what he was working on for Kendrick Lamar. Suffice it to say Black Hippy’s biggest member liked what he heard. While the track has no title and it isn’t certain that it’ll appear on Rock’s forthcoming LP, it had Kendrick smiling.

It has been a while since Jay Rock released a full project, however promising tracks like “Gumbo” and “Money Trees Deuce” have gotten fans excited for what’s to come. Back in March, Tiffith updated fans on the status of Rock’s album. While there is no publicly known title or release date for the project, he promised fans that the album “is coming.” Jay Rock himself posted on Instagram yesterday (July 18) asking fans who’s excited for LP.
