J. Cole Designs Bally Collection

    J. Cole is designing boots and a backpack for Bally’s 2015 collection, The New York Times reports.

When planning the collaboration, the North Carolina rapper was inspired by a photo of Bob Marley wearing the Swiss brand.

“I was impressed with the heritage of the company and how many people and places they’ve touched that I had no clue about,” J. Cole says.

The 30-year-old says that he is blending his own personal style in the designs.

“As I’m getting older, I’m learning more about what my true style actually is, becoming more confident in what I like,” he says. “I love simplicity and comfort. Comfort is king. I feel at home in a pair of comfortable boots, and I always have a backpack with me. I keep my life in my backpack.”

The boots will be available in three colorways (eggplant, snakeskin and olive green) and range in price from $695 to $1,995. The backpacks are scheduled to retail from $1,250 to $2,795.

    1. I’m a big fan , and I would love to buy his shoes and support him , but those shoes are too expensive for me to buy . Anyways what I think he is doing is great especially after reading that Bob Marley inspired him to create those boots . I am lowkey hype about the inspiration from Bob Marley , because I’m Jamaican . Good idea thoe J Cole ! 🙂

    2. I think it’s good that J-COLE is exploring other avenues to get money, that’s all part of being a hustler. BUT!! $1,000+ FOR BOOTS AND BOOKBAGS!!! NOT ME!! I WISH HIM WELL ON HIS VENTURE..
