The battle between singer Chris Brown and Nia Guzman, the mother of his daughter, has continued this week with Brown filing legal documents in Houston, Texas to establish paternity, according to TMZ.
The website reports that Guzman was demanding $15,000 a month for child support, an amount Brown felt was too much.
Instead, the crooner has been handing over $2,500 a month in child support to Guzman, and hopes that a judge will set the figure at an amount closer to what he’s already been paying the mother of his child.
In addition to setting an amount for child support, Brown also wants a judge in the matter to establish clear custody guidelines. He claims that Guzman is not allowing him to see his daughter, one-year-old Royalty.

In May of this year, it was reported that Brown stopped paying child support in March. According to TMZ, the singer stopped making payments once Guzman demanded $15,000, which was thousands more than the $2,500 he had been paying monthly.
“We’re told Chris says Nia’s treating the baby like a winning lottery ticket, but she claims he’s being incredibly cheap and their daughter is suffering as a result,” TMZ reported weeks ago.
