50 Cent and Usher still are on top. At this year’s Billboard-American Urban Radio Network R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, the two nabbed three awards apiece. Usher took home awards for top R&B/hip-hop artist, male artist and singles artist while 50 Cent grabbed up the top R&B/hip-hop album and albums artist and top rap album awards.
The ceremony, which was staged at the Compound nightclub in Atlanta, featured Chaka Khan and A Tribe Called Quest receiving the Founders Awards for R&B and Hip-Hop, respectively. Mario and Alicia Keys took home two awards while Lil Jon grabbed up the top R&B/Hip-Hop producer award.
Game and Fantasia made noise with their debut album which assisted in them both receiving awards. Game got the new R&B/hip-hop award while Fantasia’s “I Believe” took top honors for R&B/Hip-Hop single.
Ying Yang Twins, Fatty Koo, Chris Brown and Keyshia Cole all performed to round out the evening.
