The 2015 BET Music Awards was quite a spectacle as tribute performances and ceremonies stole most of the show.

HipHopDX was on the red carpet this year and spoke with some of Hip Hop’s attendees about what has been happening recently with them.

First up, DX Features Editor Andre Grant caught up with DJ Mustard and asked about the wellness of YG after he was shot multiple times earlier this month.

“He good man,” Mustard said via a segment of today’s (June 29) DX Daily. “He not dead, thank God. He good.”

DX asked Machine Gun Kelly about numerous topics including his hometown of Cleveland and the Cavaliers’ status of coming up just short at winning the NBA Finals.

“We wanted it bad man,” he said. “There’s just been a lot of hometown pride with me this year. This was a special year. We started to feel the city coming back.” He also update fans on his forthcoming album: “Early fall/late summer. I announced the title the other day, it’s called General Admission and it’s that fucking heat right here.”

Finally Migos was asked about their relationship with producer Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E. The Atlanta trio says he’s one of their closest collaborative partners.

“C.N.O.T.E., that’s our boy,” each member of the group relayed. “C.N.O.T.E. all over the album. We really fucking with him, that’s our brother mane!”
