RJ has been a bubbling name on the West Coast for a little while now and those who are currently the biggest names have welcomed him with open arms.
Recently speaking with HipHopDX’s Ural Garrett via phone, the rapper explained how he met Compton superstars YG and DJ Mustard.
“That [relationship] came from Lemmie Lams, that’s my manager, that’s my homeboy, that’s my bro,” he explained when asked about the connection via a segment of today’s (June 18) DX Daily. “He hooked me up with [YG and DJ Mustard] and ever since then we’ve been booming… Them both my homeboys too so it all worked out.”

RJ also talked about how his “Get Rich” single with IAMSU! came together and recalled how the California rapper came to the studio to record after hitting the club.
“We just all linked up and it just happened,” he said. “I called him. One night he was at the club and I told him to come to the studio and he just came right after the club he laid the hook. I already had the verses and the hook and he just laid his verse and he did his shit though. He just added another element to what was already there.”
