As public figures, rappers aren’t immune when it comes to rumors. To demonstrate this, XXL magazine caught up with 10 rappers who shared the craziest rumors they have ever heard about themselves.
“Most celebrities have heard it all. But we asked 10 rappers to think back and remember the craziest rumor they heard about themselves that wasn’t true in the end. From snitches to sex tapes, Illuminati murders to violent assaults, these rumors really run the gamut,” XXL says of its list.
Harlem, New York rapper Bodega Bamz shared one of the more intense rumors, recalling the time he heard a rumor that he was a killer.

“That I’m a killer. That I’ve killed people. I never killed nobody,” Bamz said while speaking to XXL.
Bun B offered up a disturbing rumor he heard about himself, the late Pimp C, and the Illuminati.
“That I killed Pimp C for the Illuminati,” the Houston, Texas wordsmith said.

G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks recalled hearing a rumor that he had a gay sex tape. He later credited the rumor for being “the beginning of the troll.”
“They said I had a gay sex tape and all that shit,” Banks said. “That was probably the stupidest shit I ever heard. I really had to go to BET and all that shit. That was because of the whole Murder Inc shit. That was the beginning of the troll.”
