Well over a decade after its release in theaters, the film Narc will reportedly be turned into a new television series, which will be executive produced by Detroit, Michigan rapper Eminem.

According to Deadline.com, the film’s director Joe Carnahan has written a pilot script for the Paramount TV series. Along with Eminem, Carnahan will also serve as executive producer.

In addition to the role of executive producer, the Motor City lyricist will reportedly serve as music supervisor for “Narc,” which is currently being dubbed a crime thriller.

As music supervisor, Em is expected to write original songs for the series.

Released in 2002, Narc tells the story of two detectives attempting to solve the murder of an undercover cop. The television series, like the film, will be set in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit.

On top of his potential musical contributions to “Narc,” earlier this year it was reported that Eminem would release new music on the soundtrack to the upcoming film, Southpaw, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and 50 Cent.
