Eminem To Serve As Executive Producer & Music Supervisor For “Narc” Series

Well over a decade after its release in theaters, the film Narc will reportedly be turned into a new television series, which will be executive produced by Detroit, Michigan rapper Eminem.

According to Deadline.com, the film’s director Joe Carnahan has written a pilot script for the Paramount TV series. Along with Eminem, Carnahan will also serve as executive producer.

In addition to the role of executive producer, the Motor City lyricist will reportedly serve as music supervisor for “Narc,” which is currently being dubbed a crime thriller.

As music supervisor, Em is expected to write original songs for the series.

Released in 2002, Narc tells the story of two detectives attempting to solve the murder of an undercover cop. The television series, like the film, will be set in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit.

On top of his potential musical contributions to “Narc,” earlier this year it was reported that Eminem would release new music on the soundtrack to the upcoming film, Southpaw, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and 50 Cent.

“Narc” is expected to be pitched to major networks.

    1. Really sad how such a volatile and powerful rapper turned into a wrinkly pile of trash that sounds like he has tourettes and a speech disorder.

      1. you obviously know NOTHING about rap or hip hop. Why don’t you go soak in you tepid bath and put on your Shrek soundtrack and relax…. Eminem is a gift to Hip Hop. He is an amazing lyricist and has more talent than anyone in the industry.

    2. Hell, maybe producing some soundtracks might even polish his production a bit. Good move. He’ll get paid for experimenting with his music. Wish homeboy the best.

    3. You self righteous, pathetic shitlord….stop judging other people…whatever this white rapper is doing is much better than going to jail,or getting caught with drugs,or producing effeminate fashion products(this is what most other rappers are doing). At least whatever this rapper is doing is constructive, productive and music based.

    4. Looking very forward to the release of “narc” ! – And the fact that the guy from D-12 Is in the lead of the production is just remarkable! – Best of luck with the Series Marshall & Company!
