In an interview with XXL magazine, Young Dro discusses his plans to release his fourth studio album, Reality Show.
“You can look through [my life], like a reality show,” says Young Dro of the project, which is slated for a summer release. “I got a little camera guy following me around to piece it together.”
The first single off of Reality Show is “We In Da City,” which has a video out now via Young Dro’s YouTube channel.
Beyond his new material, Young Dro also discusses the deaths of Chinx and Doe B and why they may have taken place.

“There’s some people that like you so much that I think they want to get rid of you so they could be [you],” he says. “You’re successful. You make it out the hood and a lot of people think you owe them…It’s a lot of people that are less fortunate, and we’re from the hood, so riding through, you have to protect yourself.”
He also discusses the rise of police brutality targeting Black communities and how that treatment has bred a lack of protection and respect for people who align with those neighborhoods.
“It’s very scary,” Dro says. “I don’t want my daughter to get shot by no cop. It scares me because of how they’re handling it.”
