Iggy Azalea said on Twitter yesterday (June 11) that she scrapped “an entire 6 months of work” and is starting fresh on her sophomore album, reports Idolator.
In answering questions from fans, the Grand Hustle rapper said that she wants to go back to some of the sounds from her mixtapes and is “not looking to abandon my identity.”
Prior to her debut album The New Classic, Azalea released two mixtapes: Ignorant Art and TrapGold. On Twitter, the rapper agreed with fans that songs such as “Slo,” co-produced by Diplo “reflect a big part of me that got overlooked on my album production.”
@buterascrowns not really other than that i scraped an entire 6 months of work and started totally new.
