Months after Los Angeles, California rapper Game punched an off-duty police officer during a Pro-Am basketball game, the musician is now being struck with a lawsuit due to the encounter.

News of the lawsuit comes days after Game was booked and later released after a warrant was issued last week due to him threatening the off-duty cop during the basketball game. In addition to throwing the punch, the rapper also reportedly threatened to kill the man.

HotNewHipHop.com reports that the police officer, Onyebuchi Awaji, is now suing for $12 million. Awaji is suing over physical, emotional, and financial damage.

The incident between Game and the off-duty police officer took place in March of this year. TMZ reported that the rapper got into an argument with the man, punched him, and then fled the scene.
