Li Wayne returned to full form this week with the release of a new track exclusively available on Tidal. Meanwhile, Jhene Aiko returned to her instantly-infamous “eat the booties like groceries” line in an interview with MTV and explained how she co-wrote it with Micah Powell.

Finally, Lil Dicky dropped a new track with unexpected features from Fetty Wap and Rich Homie Quan that’s all about stacking paper, responsibly.

Lil Wayne Drops “Glory” As Tidal Exclusive

Shortly after dropping a brand new track on the streaming platform, news broke that Lil Wayne has joined Tidal as a co-owner. The track, “Glory,” was produced by Avenue Beatz, Infamous, and Onhel and finds Weezy rapping through without a chorus over a gospel-tinged beat. “Lost in a shoo-shoo of who’s who and I lost influence,” he raps, “Lost my point of view / Until I found a mirror and starting talking to it / It told me the truth, said I’m the shit.”

Jhene Aiko Explains Her Infamous “Groceries” Line

Jhene Aiko has been on plenty of people’s minds this year following an appearance on Omarion’s “Post To Be.” On the track she sings, “I might let your boy chauffeur me, but he gotta eat the booty like groceries.” The line has become as popular as the track itself and this past week she linked up with MTV to explain how she came up with the lyric.

“I wrote my verse with Micah Powell, someone that I’ve written with before and I just told him, ’Whatever we say I want to make sure we say something about eat the booty,’” she said.

“It was a fun song. I wanted my part to be funny and unexpected and ironically ’groceries’ rhymes with ’post to be’ and so it works.”
